Grounded in strong community relationships, Habitat RFV advocates for affordable housing and reuse of locally donated items at our ReStore to generate revenue that enables the development of affordable ownership housing for families and individuals from Parachute to Aspen.

Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley has been partnering with local families for over 20 years to help them build a safe and secure place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside our staff and volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, our homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. In the last few years, more than ever, we have seen the importance of the work we do to provide affordable housing and its stabilizing impact on the families we serve.

DECENT HOUSING BY ALL AND FOR ALL
Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley has an open-door policy: all who believe that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to be a part of the organization’s work regardless of race, religion, age, gender, politics, or any other distinction that too often divides people. In short, Habitat RFV welcomes volunteers, supporters, and potential homeowners from all backgrounds.
As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. Habitat RFV will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith view.

This policy governs all aspects of:

Community Program Participation (including but not limited to Homeownership, Critical Home Repair, and Money Matters). We do not discriminate against any legal source of income, including income derived from any public assistance program. For Homeownership, applicants must be legal residents of the United States.
Volunteer Participation (including board members and committee members). Volunteers must be at least 16 years old for on-site activities; no exceptions.
