Leadership Team

Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley is managed by an administrative staff, led by CEO Darla Callaway and senior leadership dedicated to the cause of providing safe and affordable housing for local families.

Darla Callaway

Chief Executive Officer

Darla Callaway brings over 15 years of experience in community planning, housing development, and organizational leadership to her role as CEO of Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley. A licensed landscape architect and former Principal at Design Workshop Inc., she has led complex land use projects and championed inclusive, people-centered development.


Darla’s move into the nonprofit housing sector reflects her deep commitment to expanding affordable homeownership. She brings both strategic expertise and a passion for community-building to her leadership at Habitat RFV.


Jason Schraub

Chief External Relations Officer

Jason Schraub brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. At Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley, as Chief of External Relations Officer, he leads fundraising, communications, and external relations.


Previously, he served as Senior VP of Partnerships at Operation HOPE and has advised national and local initiatives focused on economic empowerment. Jason serves on the board of the Aspen Hope Center and holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Northwestern’s Kellogg School. He lives in Basalt with his wife, Karin.


Judy Smythe

Chief Financial Officer

Judy Smythe brings extensive executive experience across both leading organizations and early-stage companies. She has led six businesses with a focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and customer retention. Her leadership spans the healthcare industry, particularly in digital biomarkers, decentralized clinical trials, and population health. Judy has served as CEO of Aural Analytics and Science 37, and as President/COO of WebMD Health Services. She also held senior roles at McKesson, including General Manager of its Financial Center and Care Management division. Judy currently serves as a board director and Audit Committee Chair for Mathematica, Inc., a firm focused on data-driven solutions for social impact.
