While our official mission is to “build affordable homes in partnership with families in need of a hand-up, not a hand-out,” our true mission extends far beyond house construction. 

At Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley, we are grateful and appreciate our volunteers. Individuals and groups who donate their time and energy to our community are the backbone of our organization. Volunteer opportunities exist at build sites, such as Basalt Vista, and the ReStore. Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Thanks to the Community First Foundation and FirstBank, #COGives is in its 10th year. 

Here's the Middle -  if your family is living on two professional incomes yet feeling stretched when deciding between seeing the dentist and taking a road trip - chances are, you're in the Middle, capital M.

Last Friday, September 13th, we were honored to have members from Holy Cross Energy, State Senate, and Colorado Representatives join us at our latest housing project, Basalt Vista. The group learned about how this project is benefiting local, working families by providing them affordable housing options. 

Applications will be accepted starting today for what likely will become one of the most sought-after affordable-housing projects in the Roaring Fork Valley.
