
Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley CEO Gail Schwartz Announces Retirement

Gail Schwartz, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley, has announced her upcoming “rewirement.” She stepped into the role of interim president in early 2020 and has led with ambition and courage ever since, according to a press release.
A nationwide search committee has begun talking to candidates to find someone to take over this position, according to the press release. The transition will be underway within the next two months, and Gail will support the incoming CEO to ensure a seamless transition.
“The board is looking for someone who can take the reins from Gail and continue to articulate and drive Habitat’s compelling vision,” said Chairperson Danielle Howard in the press release. “Our new CEO will need to inspire and engage our committed employees, passionate volunteers and professional stakeholders as we continue to innovate and fulfill Habitat’s mission.”
