Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley and Chaffin Light Real Estate are holding their third annual golf tournament at the Jack Nicklaus designed Roaring Fork Club in Basalt on Monday, June 9th. This event is Habitat’s only fundraiser for the year and promises to be the ‘must-attend’ charity golf tournament of the season. Tournament organizers plan for another sell-out field of golfers to take part in this year’s four-person scramble format tournament. Prizes will be awarded for the five teams with the lowest net score and for individuals with the longest drive and closest to the pin for both men and women.

According to Jim Noyes, Event Chair, “We’re thrilled once again to be partnering with Chaffin Light Real Estate and the Roaring Fork Club to hold our annual charity golf tournament. It’s a unique opportunity to golf at the award-winning Roaring Fork Club while raising funds for Habitat’s upcoming building projects in Carbondale and Rifle. We invite the community to join us for a great day of golf and support our efforts to help needy families in the valley.”

Sponsoring the golf tournament allows us to give back to the community and help support Habitat’s goal of increasing affordable housing options in the area.”

A barbecue dinner, live music and a silent auction will be held post-tournament. Last year’s auction included a Saeco professional-grade espresso machine, golf foursome gift certificates, autographed sports memorabilia, Swarovski crystal and multiple vacation packages.

The cost per foursome is $1,000, which includes golf, cart, golf shirt, lunch and BBQ dinner with live music. Additionally, various sponsorship opportunities exist including hole and tee sponsors and silent auction donations.
